Hi Readers! A second week has passed doing the on-line course from Lilla Rogers Studio. While diving in the third week, I wanted to share some insights from the second week. Lilla shares great tips to inspire the artists and they are so powerful that I am just thrilled to be taking these on with me. In the beginning I was overwhelmed by who she is in the art market: The leading studio that sells amazing art to all this huge companies as Crate and Barrel Pottery Barn, Target and many more. I also felt that many are working very hard to get a possible contract for representation with her. All these feelings were pretty overwhelming but as time goes by I am connecting more to the purpose of the course and the tools I will be taking with me to my own network of clients and friends. I understand now that some artist are meant to influence and inspire the "macro" market and some artist are meant to inspire their "mini" network of clients, family an friends. But, we all share the same powerful influence that art has on people which is to make people happy, to make people smile, to reach people's emotions and so many other great things. I am sure that by the end of the program, all these amazing 400 students (I am not sure of the final number), will be taking to their own private world, tools that will help them create more amazing art to share with their own family, friends and clients. How cool is that? I can't wait to start putting all these teachings into practise in my own line of paper products, paintings, books and more!!!
I am sharing below the inspirational board I created for the second week of school and the final assignment that was to create a plate decorated by flowers (unusual flowers was the key). Enjoy, Jazmin

Hello readers! What a week I had since the first day of school. June is one of the busiest months for any mother of 3 children plus a full time job. Now...adding Lilla Roger's on-line course was way beyond my abilities. I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of time I should spend in the assignment, the information given and the social media life around it...Plus casseroles and mushrooms didn't make me feel inspired even though I have spent the last 15 years cooking for a family of 5 now...Well, by Friday night I didn't have anything ready but was determined to submit my work with all the other 400 (I am not sure the exact number of students). Saturday morning woke up at 5:30am and by 3:00pm I uploaded my Fabric Bolt design. Apparently I got carried away by the joy of making it and forgot to follow the guidelines. The way Lilla presents the assignments really make you push yourself and look for the underneath surface of your comfort zone. I loved the process of seeing the creativity unleashed and almost danced to the music I was listening.
This week, I will try and stick to the guidelines and experiment with new technics.
I created an "Inspirational Board" to feel emotions around kitchen theme, and what it came up were: home, family, fiends, traditions, 60 and 70' tiles, my bubbe's casseroles, my kids, flowers' vases and more. Here is the final design, Jazmin

Hello Dear friends:
It has been a while since my last post...
Many amazing transformations have been happening to me...I guess the best affirmation to describe all this, it is the one I got out of a pack of many that said: "Forgive yourself and set yourself free"...
Here is the photo I created to transmit what I am feeling, hope you like it!

Namaste, my dear readers:
After a year of learning my new business I have decided to stop fighting technology and have been working on new designs to sell as Printables. My Etsy Store is filling up with products and Printables and I am enjoying my store each day more. I am working on building positive relationships with my customers and giving them the most personalized service I can offer. They are definitely shaping my business and I am learning from them what they look for. Pretty interesting journey.
Here is a new sample of a Printable with an amazing prayer we say every Friday morning at the Kundalini class. This blessing is for sale at my Etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/idocaredesigns

Namaste dear readers:
December is back and with it a year of being in business as "i do care designs".
While looking back, I feel exhausted and blessed from all the sleepless nights, early mornings, business plans, Facebook postings, Blog postings, Esty postings, networking, shows and marketing, Charity events, and countless hours designing in front of my computer. I have learned a lot of amazing lessons and met amazing people. I had the privilege to attend Yoga retreats with my family and alone. Have been exposed to new Yoga classes and danced away with strangers in Kundallini classes every Friday! I am grateful for this 2012 year and looking forward to learn more in 2013.
Here is an illustration that came to my mind to reflect homy feeling about my business.
Namaste and Love, Jazmin

Namaste my dear readers:

The Yoga Vancouver Show is over and with it a lot of new contacts, friends, new customers and certainly renovated energy. It was a good idea to take my "studio" out of my house and share my creativity with the world. With a slightly tendency to isolate myself, going to the show was definitely a way to "work" on this tendency. I had a lot of positive feedbacks and my booth was reflecting the image brand I have been working so hard all this past year. After the show many friends asked me: Was it worth it? I think so! The Yoga community in Vancouver is great and I love being part of it. The feeling of belonging inspires me to do more creations, contact new people and participate in new events. By Sunday evening I was definitley inspired and happy! I wanted to share with you some photos of my booth. Thank you and namaste, Jazmin

Namaste my dear readers:
The new chakra healing dolls are here! After waiting for the fabrics to arrive, I spent the whole rainy weekend assembling these cute dolls! I had to research every color and the meanings of each healing or property of character that they represent. It was fun, interesting and rewarding. The colors of the chakras inspired me to come with this idea. They are printed on 100% cotton twill and stuffed with newspapers and fabrics. Their size is: 3.5" x 13.5". Soon for sale on my Etsy Store!
